JOB SUMMARY:
Demonstrates knowledge of normal and abnormal labor, delivery, and post-partum process and appropriate interventions.Provides care to baby in nursery according to policy and procedures of the hospital.Observes AWHONN standards for practice in delivery of care.Assists medical providers with rounds, treatments, and procedures providing timely noting and implementation of medical provider orders. Adds orders in EMR when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:
RN license in good standing in the state of Indiana.
NRP Certification
CPR Certification
Annual Flu vaccine

SKILLS:
IV insertion and maintenance.
Fetal and maternal monitoring.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Basic nursing skills needed to function in labor, delivery, newborn nursery and post-partum.
Urinary catheter insertion and removal

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Prefer 1 year experience in labor, delivery, newborn nursery and post-partum
