As a result of our market success, Decode Science is seeking to appoint a Field Application Scientist to join our team.
This position will see you utilise your scientific understanding to provide technical training, troubleshooting and application solutions to our genomics customers.
You will play a pivotal role in pre-and post-sales activities in technically guiding and supporting our customers.
There will always be opportunities for learning new skills as the product range evolves and new opportunities for career growth emerge.
You will have a strong background in genomics, with hands-on experience in sequencing or library preparation.
You will have exceptional communication skills, be able to troubleshoot under pressure, and work in a collaborative team environment.
The successful applicant will be expected to: Provide high-end technical sales and applications support including workshops, demonstrations and attending conferences.
Support our genomics range which includes Next-Generation Sequencing, extraction, library preparation, bioinformatics and related products.
Support and guide customers to identify solutions that may support their workflow.
Provide customer training in person and remotely.
Become an expert in the specific Decode Science product range.
Collaborate and communicate with the Decode sales team.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Required skills & qualifications The successful applicant will have: A proven track record with customers.
MSc qualifications in Biology – Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
Experience in Genomics.
Outstanding communications, scientific presentation and business development skills.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, confident and engaging.
Knowledge of the life science and biotechnology landscape.
Commercial acumen: ability to identify and pursue commercial opportunities and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
