About the role: They are seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts Manager to join their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and mitigating risks associated with contracts.
Your expertise will be crucial in supporting their projects and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Opportunity and Bid Management: Tender phase review of contracts, development and implementation of effective contractual strategies for opportunities, bids and contract negotiations.
Contract Drafting: Create bespoke contract terms and documents.
Project Delivery: Provide specialist support in commercial and risk management, issue resolution and dispute management.
Project Planning: Oversee project handover, establish commercial plans and create project registers.
Training and Development: Support the development of training packages and upskill project and commercial resources.
Governance Approval: Prepare presentations and present to Tender Governance Board for approval of tenders.
About you: Tertiary qualification in law would be advantageous but not essential.
Proven experience in the preparation and drafting of construction contract agreements, including interpreting and applying contract terms and legislation provisions.
Sound working knowledge of risk mitigation principles and the contractual implementation thereof.
Excellent working knowledge of Australian construction contracts.
Strong communication skills.
Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and able to cope with ad-hoc requirements.
