Summary
At MasterControl we are building our next generation data platform that will leverage AI/ML techniques to help redefine how our customers bring lifesaving and lifechanging products to market. To enable this, we need your help telling stories through data visualization. If you find yourself thinking about data problems in your spare time, this is the position and team to be on.
TheBI (Business Intelligence)Data Analyst roleis a crucial role in MasterControl's important work of helping our customers understand and act on the insights from their quality processes.
Responsibilities
Data modeling for data visualization, analytics, reporting, and self-service consumption.
Ingress automation of data models for 3rd party vendor consumption.
Discovery of valuable trends and insights within the data.
Technical documentation of data models.
Support integration of new products and services, regulatory requirements, tools, technologies, and markets into existing operations.
Ensure available technology is fully leveraged
Foster collaboration in a team and cross-team setting.
Function and operate within an Agile development framework for planning and delivery.
Contribute to the culture of accountability and fun found in our Engineering organization.
Technical analysis and translation to logical and physical requirements sourced from business requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills
4-year degree, certification(s) in data analytics, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with one or more data visualization tools. We like people who can tell us a story by visualizing the data.
Experience with one or more scripting or programming languages (SQL, JavaScript, Python, Bash or Java, etc).
Understanding of basic statistics.
Understanding of data visualization and dashboard design concepts.
Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, trust-building, conflict-resolution, and writing skills.
Passionate about creatively solving business problems.
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Meet multiple, challenging deadlines while communicating expectations clearly.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Must be able to work well with people.
Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail.
