This role includes Echocardiography services, Cardiac MRI, Cardiac Nuclear Scanning, Cardiac CT, clinic and requires the successful applicant to develop and undertake research objectives, projects and proposals, and outcome evaluations. Research may range from experimental to clinical research and may include work in a research lab as well as a clinical setting. The fellow will support education and training initiatives and active participation in surgical forums and the Northern Hospital research week. As a secondary focus, it will require provision of appropriate care to inpatients and outpatients of the Unit/Department and consultative service for patients of other units or departments. They also ensure supervision of the junior medical officers and provide support for the senior medical staff in the care of the Unit/Department's patients. Position commences on Monday 3 February 2025. To be successful in this role you will have: Must be a registered practitioner with AHPRA with appropriate training and experience in General Medicine. Must be Fellow of the RACP or hold equivalent recognised qualifications. At least 3 years advanced training in Cardiology at a recognized tertiary centre. This is a 1 year program commitment. Must have a proven track record of excellence in clinical service delivery with a demonstrated commitment to continued improvement and teamwork. Must have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to education of themselves, their colleagues, junior staff, other members of the team, and medical students. Must have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to medical research, audit, QC and other activities that improve patient care. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable the development of professional relationships across a broad range of people. A keen interest and passion in cardiac imaging.
